Why I Plan to Make It Easy to Reach Me – If I'm Elected for District 4

I've heard (and felt) the frustration: school concerns get lost in bureaucracy - ignored messages, endless waits, no real follow through. In 2023, we only saved the BASA track program because one board member actually listened and took the time to hear my concerns. That showed me how much difference real access makes.

If I'm elected to District 4 on the Barrow County School Board, I'll keep it simple and open: a one-click button on my site to email me or book a one-on-one (in-person, phone, or Zoom). In addition to being present at meetings, events, and training, I'll block two mornings and one evening a week to be available when it counts.

Why am I set up for this? Efficient communication is my day job as HR Director for a multi-location retail company. I value clear, fast, no-nonsense communication. I also do site design and digital streamlining. Those skills will help me listen well and act fast for you.

This isn't about handling everything. It is about being your independent voice for what truly needs attention. I've coached kids, raised my family in Barrow, fought for programs, etc. I've seen how lack of access hurts. If elected, I can't change the entire school board of course, but I can personally listen and advocate for families.

Message me anytime if you're in District 4. I'm already listening.

Primary: May 19, 2026. Early voting: April 27–May 15 at Winder Elections Office.

Let's make sure every family gets heard!

Ash Walsh

Candidate for Barrow County Board of Education, District 4
